Wedding Photography – The Woodlands Hotel Dundee. Karen and Duncan
Last Saturday was the first Wedding of the year and it was at the Woodlands Hotel Dundee, Karen and Duncan had been recommended to me by Claire Rennie of Berry Scrumptious and now 2 other people have booked me as part of that recommendation – I love seeing how people find me and then recommend other people to me. Anyway I digress, it was always going to be a relaxed Wedding, Karen had the day under control and I could tell that it was not going to be too over planned.
The whole day was at the Woodlands Hotel which makes my job so much easier. Jenny Young the manager is always very efficient and organised.
I started in the room where the girls were getting ready.
The flowers were supplied by Something Special in Blairgowrie
I popped out to find Duncan and Ross the best Man.
Duncan was not keen to be photographed but realised that it had to be done and he soon relaxed – I suspect it was my witty banter!!!
Ross was more of a poser
And this was Terrence, I think he had seen better days but he did a good job with the rings
There is a first at every Wedding and this was todays first, the first time I have ever seen goldfish as a table decorations, as Karen said they are cheaper than flowers! Dont worry though I have been assured that they all had good homes allocated well in advance of the day and I am sure they are now well settled in these new homes.
Bridesmaids dresses were supplied by Alyth Bridal Studio
Then it was on to the service.
The service was very relaxed and informal, in fact I was worried that Karen was going to become hysterical at one point
After the service we popped outside for the group shots, this is always the difficult point in the day for Wedding Photographers, getting people found and then keeping them waiting is hard work. Karen was super organised and we rattled through them in record time. Well done Karen
After the outside group shots we headed indoors for a couple of shots of Karen and Duncan in a different environment.
Then it was time for the official line up which was actually less of a line and more of just Karen and Duncan – this is a great way to speed the line along.
I suspect this beaver had a name too but he seemed pally with Cedric
Karen and Duncan, you were great to work with – thanks for being such easy clients. See you soon.

Thaks for letting us see the photographs. We don't always get the chance to see the finished article of "bride with her flowers". It looks like it was a great day!
