Elaine and Darren – Carnegie Conference Centre

I am once again very late with my blog postings, a busy time of year and lots to do! 2 weeks ago I was in Dunfermline for the Wedding of Elaine and Darren, it was a lovely day although we did have a bit of a shower during the service. Speaking of the service, it was interesting, the Priest was very laid back and unusual!

After the service it was on to Carnegie Conference Centre where the staff looked after us very well. This was my first Wedding there and I was impressed with the standard and facilities as well as the staff who were all very helpful. The good thing is that there is a fair amount of indoor space for photography should the weather be bad.

And this is what the said after they returned from Honeymoon:

“Hi Angus
Thanks soo much for the wedding photos, we are delighted with the way they turned out! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

Wedding Photography Scotland – Happy Customers

2 great emails came in yesterday:

Hi Angus,

Thanks very much for having our photos ready for us when we got back from honeymoon. The suitcases were dumped in the hall and we were straight onto the PC to view them! We're absolutely delighted with the photos, (and also the write-up in your blog) and looking forward to producing an album.

We really enjoyed the whole experience of having the photos done, you made it fun rather than something to put up with. You chivvied the guests when necessary but faded into the background at other times - a true pro!

Thanks again for your role in making our big day go so well.

Best wishes

Lindsey

Fiona and Colin – Duck Bay Marina – Wedding Photography Scotland

Last Saturday I was on the shores of Loch Lomond in blistering sunshine for the Wedding of Colin and Fiona. As a location, Duck Bay is hard to beat, the scenery and views are simply stunning.

110709-013
Colin was looking nervous although he said he wasn’t!
110709-021
110709-025
110709-031
Fiona and her Dad arrived in the back of a very nice car.
110709-058

As they walked down the aisle everyone was watching, what you can;t see here is that the wall behind me is a huge mirror so everyone could see the action. Not great for photography but the minister was an easygoing guy who allowed me free reign to go where I wanted.

110709-064
Colin could see Fiona in the mirror and was looking pretty nervous.
110709-094

He looks a little happier now. The Minister was very laid back and easy going, even cracked a few jokes and had everyone smiling and relaxed.
110709-162
Then it was out to the terrace that has the most magnificent views of Loch Lomond.
110709-181

After the group shots were over it was across the road to the park for more photography.

110709-221

The good thing about the Duck Bay is the indoor locations should the weather be bad, thankfully we did not have that problem but we took advantage anyway.
110709-236
After the cake cutting it was onto the meal, the speeches were first and they were very entertaining.

Fionas expressions were great

What a great day – well done Fiona and Colin, I hope you are as delighted with the photographs as I am. Thanks to Mrs Thomson and her staff at the Duck Bay Marina for being so helpful and professional. Small things like having step ladders for photographers to use make such a difference.

Doug and Katy – Monachyle Mhor, Wedding Photography Scotland

It was fabulous to be back at Monachyle Mhor last week for the Marriage of Doug and Katy. Monachyle is one of my favourite locations and it is also a favourite location for Susan and I to have a weekend away, unfortunately they come along too rarely! I seem to get a few wedding bookings here, no idea why but I am very happy to take them as when the sun is shining it can be the most fabulous location, even on bad days the sky can be really dramatic and the rooms here are great for Photography.

Doug and Katy had put photography at the top of their list of priorities which is always great news, lots of time was available and they were willing to try some of my odd ideas!

The actual marriage was in Balquhidder Church just down the road but as usual I started in the girls room where the conversation was “interesting” !

There was a bit of devastation in the room but the sandwiches looked good.

Katys friend was helping her with make up and general dogs body stuff

I found Doug and persuaded him to get dressed for a photograph

09709-046

I headed off to the Church and caught a few other photographs.

The Minister here does not allow Photography in the Church so I had to wait until the Register Signing before I could take any, thankfully the weather was fantastic so that was ok.
09709-112

There is a nice old ruin at the Church which I try to use every time I am here.
09709-110

Doug and Katy were easy to work with, very relaxed and smiley.

09709-137

We stopped by the loch for a few shots, it is such a lovely location here.

Back at the Hotel Champagne was being served then we got on with the group photographs they had asked for. After that we spent a little more time on photography with their lovely little Border Collie Puppy called Rosie, she was just adorable!

Doug and Katy, you were a real pleasure to work with, thank you for asking me to be your Photographer and for making Photography such a priority on your big day. I hope you are having a ball in South Africa and that you are as pleased with the photographs as I am .

Lindsey and Alex, Atholl Palace Hotel, Pitlochry, Wedding Photography Scotland

Last Friday I found myself back at the Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry for the wedding of Alex and Lindsey. They are a lovely couple, Lindsey was very laid back and really enjoyed the day. As usual I started in the Brides room.

Lindseys Bridesmaids were looking stunning

I found Alex in the obvious place!

030709-059 Alex was keen to show the new watch that Lindsey had bought him
030709-062 030709-083 I am sure Alex was holding back a few tears when he saw Lindsey
030709-104 Lindsey was certainly delighted to see Alex
030709-138
As Lindsay came out I heard her say “that was great fun, can we do that again” that was the first time I have ever heard that!
030709-143 030709-148
We did a few shots at the door with confetti then a couple of group shots.

030709-158
030709-163 We took a couple of shots at the back of the castle without any guests about.

030709-180 030709-192 Lindsey and Alex are very keen gardeners so they were keen to have some photographs taken in the garden at the bottom of the hotel grounds so we were driven down in the hotel rolls royce.
030709-236 After the group shots were finished I managed a couple more shots with Alex and Lindsey before the meal started.
030709-252
030709-266 The speeches had Alex and Lindsey in stitches – and a few tears.

Alex and Lindsey you were a fantastic couple to work with and I really enjoyed the day, I hope Lake Garda is as great as it sounds and you are having a fantastic time. Best wishes
Thanks to Gillian and her staff at the Atholl Palace
for being so understanding and helpfull.
