Paul and Aimee – St Stevens and West Parish Church then Westpark Centre – Wedding Photography Scotland
A couple of weeks back I found myself back in Broughty Ferry for Aimee and Pauls Wedding. As usual I started at Aimees Mothers house for a few bridal preparation shots. It can be quite embarrasing being the only man in a house full of women in their dressing gowns but – hey, it’s a tough life!
The make up artist was there and Aimee was being pampered
I found the dress, shoes and bouquets.
After that I left for the Church, I knew that parking was a little difficult so I wanted to get a good space near the Church.
I found Paul and his Best Men and Ushers so we had a quick 10 minute shoot with them, trying to make a Groom look relaxed can be difficult a few minutes before the moment.
Aimee and her Father arrived bang on time.
Aimees Father needed a little “snifter” before the service.
It was a new Minister since my last visit here and I was told to stay in one place for the service, I could have gone upstairs but then I’d have been stuck there so I chose to stay at the back so that I could capture them Bride and Groom leaving the Church.
Paul and Aimee had their first date at Broughty Castle so we wanted to take some shots there but it was extremely windy so we only managed a couple.
It was so windy that Aimees veil landed up in the harbour, thanks to the Gallant Chauffeur who climbed down and retrieved it for us.
For a city centre location, Westpark has some nice photographic opportunities.
A few tears were shed during the speeches
Then the dancing, it was a great day. Thank you Paul and Aimee for allowing me to be part of your day and thank you for putting photography at the top of your list of priorities. It was great to hear from you from your honeymoon and I know that you are having a great time.
