Collessie Church, Kinkell Byre – Wedding Photography – Jill and Gavin – The Service

I know I am dragging this out a bit but it was such a big Wedding – by far the longest period of time I have worked in one go. There are over 1000 photographs to share with Jill and Gavin so there are many to blog about.  Today we concentrate on the Service, as I mentioned before this is where Jill was baptised by the very same minister.

Thankfully I had a good spot near the front of the Church, most Ministers are now relaxed enough to let the Photographer at the front, I had to negotiate space with Lee from Over the Moon Productions but we came to an arrangement  that suited both our needs.

I like to get a shot of the Groom at this stage, he has waited at the front for what seems like an age, he’s now aware that his Bride has arrived, the hussle and bussle has settled down and he knows that any minute the sound of “here comes the bride” and she will be there. Some grooms peer at the back of the Church to catch a glimpse, some stare straight ahead steely eyed, Gavin was half way between the 2 trying to catch a quick look. You can tell from the man behind him that Jill has just started walking down the aisle.

And right enough she had just been greeted at the door by the Minister before she started her long walk down the aisle.

Thats all for today, tomorrow I’ll be working on the shots outside the Church and some of the first ones at Kinkell Byre.
