After a short break it was time to Dance!

So that's the lot, David and Laura, you were an absolute delight to work with, I am sure you are having a wonderful time in Canada touring round the rockies. I hope that you are delighted with your photographs and they are everything you wanted them to be. See you when you get back and we can sort out your album.

Thanks to Gavin and his team at Norton house, you did a great job and were true professionals to work with. Personally I am not a fan of venues that do 2 Weddings in the same day but Norton House really do know how to do it well.

So, after dinner it was time for speeches. Sometimes you just get a feeling that the speeches are going to be good and I had that feeling with this Wedding.

 

When you have photographed so many Weddings you get a 6th sense when moments like this are going to unfold

Norton House Hotel, Wedding Photography. Laura and David

Laura arrived and the service began, this was  Humanist Service, I am seeing lots more of these services at the moment, both Weddings this weekend were Humanist services.

When it came to the ring exchange, Laura got so excited she just shoved it on without waiting for the Celebrant to do his thing.

You can tell they are both bright people, no other couple read the small print !


And then it was over, what a lovely service in great surroundings with great people

We went right into the group shot as it is always the hardest to organise.

Laura and David had organised games on the lawn for the guests, they proved a huge hit.

Poor David, he crashed the Jenga

Wedding Photography at Norton House – Laura and David

Back again at Norton House Hotel last Friday, this is a great venue, despite the fact that they sometimes do 3 Weddings on the same day you’d never know as everyone is kept apart from each other.

David had chosen  to have 2 best men which I sometimes wonder is a bad choice as you get double the hammering through the speeches but Davids were really nice people and were actually quite kind to him

Lauras Mum arrived with the 2 Bridesmaids, all looking lovely

Then Laura herself just a few minutes late.

Laura told me that her Dad had made her listen to 80s music before they left which means that Lauras Dad must be of the same generation as me which means that I must be old enough ……. lets not go there shall we!

Wedding Photographer Dollar, La and Pete

Firstly can I apologise for the lateness of this final posting, I had real trouble with the blog software and I could not upload for ages, only fixed now. SO, here goes:

My only regret of the day is that I didn;t have any time for couple shots of La and Pete, the time we had allocated for this had gone and then some, I persuaded them to give me 5 mins for a couple of shots round the pillars at the School entrance.

So, thats the lot I am afraid. La and Pete, I hope you are having a truly brilliant time in the States, your Master CD and proof book will be waiting for you when you get back. Thanks for inviting me to your special day, it was a real pleasure to meet and get to know you and your families.

Wedding Photography Dollar Academy, LA and Pete.

Then it was time for dinner, what a lovely meal, the caterers really did a great job, there was around 160 people there and the food was served quickly and it was hot and tasty.

There was a very unu8sual cake at this Wedding, I had been told it was a cheese cake but I didn’t expect this :



Yes, a cheese cake – or a cake of cheese, not sure!

Then it was time for speeches, as mentioned earlier I knew the speeches would be good at this Wedding., As La’s Dad is a Lawyer and Pete is a Policeman there was a fair bit of banter about these pesky cops arresting his clients.

This table were running a book on how long the speeches would last, not sure who won it but there was a fair bit of cash in the glass.
